Total Shutdown with Homing Error

While performing a basic profile cutout, suddenly, the machine plunged about a half inch and completely stopped! I hit the emergency stop. The machine showed a z error and I could not move it. It won’t home now and is flashing a “homing error”. Nothing will move until the “homing error” is fixed, I guess. Any suggestions?

Perhaps shut off power, manually raise the Z axis by turning ball screw/coupler - while pushing up - then try again to home. May need to remove end mill first if it is jammed in the stock.

My advice if stuck with a technical issue would be contact Onefinity support. It’s quicker than here and they will sort you out. Take video (if possible) and photos to make it easier to diagnose. There are instructions on uploading videos to Onefinity as emailing them can be a problem due to the large file. I think they like you to use an app\website called WeTransfer. Use their email address (for support) with a header with your problem and order number.

Did just that and they fixed me right up. Simply had to reload the machine settings.

No, I did not. I was so relieved to actually get it worked out, that I didn’t even think about it.
