sorry if this has been asked before. when setting z using the touch plate on top of work piece does it take in account the plate thickness or do you have to factor that in when creating. I’m using carveco maker. thanks

don’t worry, of course the thickness of the touch probe is stored inside the controller and substracted automatically so that the workpiece zero is really on the workiece and not on the top of the probe. You can edit this setting on the SETTINGS page in case you want to use a custom touch probe that has other dimensions. You can also fine-tune these settings if you have a sliding caliper and realize that the dimensions of your touch probe deviate from the stored values.
