Where may i purchase a larger monitor?
You can try Amazon, you just need a Touch Screen monitor with HDMI input to display is all. Of course the included mount is not going to be compatible.

I found a 20" monitor on Facebook marketplace for $30 and used an old tv mount I had. Added a usb mouse and I was good to go!

Why not upload via computer? I much prefer to use my laptop to access the web interface, upload gcode, then walk away. The advantage is that you can monitor progress from other computers on your network. At this point I would never use the actual BB HDMI interface. How do you upload files for carving, USB?

I’m having trouble with my laptop and this thing talking to one another. When you hook your laptop up do you use a ethernet cable as well as a HDMI cable?
you don’t need to connect the laptop to the machine, you just have an ethernet cable running to the buildbotics controller in the back. If you do not have ethernet ports in your wall or far from the router you can use electrical plug jacks to connect via ethernet (Thats how I have it)

The onefinity Machine has an IP address on the top of the screen, you can just grab it from there or set it static, then when on any computer within the network of your house you simply open a web browser and direct yourself to that IP address and the entire interface pops up allowing for control. The best thing is no more USB for transferring files, just upload them there and the Visual Representation of your cut appears unlike on the Buildbotics screen. Allowing you to confirm your cut before pressing play.

If you do decide to go the computer route, make sure to assign a static IP at the router, or on the 1F controller. Search for static IP in the forum.

If you do buy a larger monitor make sure it has standard VESA mount holes in the rear. It’ll make mounting it much easier. No more goofy 3d printed mounts like what comes with he small 1F touchscreens. ebay is full of cheap VESA mounting systems. Finding one that will work with your shop will be easy.
