Using the Redline 2.2kW Spindle on 208v?

Is anybody here running it on 208v?

I can use a transformer to go from 208v to 240v but just wondering whether it’s really needed since it’s rated as a 220v device, so 208v is actually closer to spec than 240v.

208 is 3 phase isn’t it?

Sure, but you can tap any 2 legs of the 3 then you get just a single phase 208V. Most of my outlets are standard 6-20 and 6-30, it just carries 208V instead of 240V.

I’m not an electrician but I don’t see why not. On Redlines website it says they are 220v. With the brown ass half square wave electricity we have in the U.S. I don’t think a hand full of volts is going to make a difference.
