Vectric Post Processors For 10.5 or older versions (Download Links Included)

I can’t speak to the laser as i don’t have it but one reason to keep the mm pp installed is for troubleshooting purposes.

so is there a way to use Carveo with the onefintinity with out the Probe ??

This is a follow up. Was support@onefinitycnc.com able to replicate the problem I was having with these files?

I see the one ff pp files in the pp folder with all the other post processors. How do i move the onef ones to my pp to the My postp folder?

Yes. Was able to copy and paste it. Won’t be able to use it though as currently

Hi, Does anyone know why I’m getting this error after copying/pasting the PP.

Var =
Unknown variable name specified
On line 42 of file
VAR POWER = [P|C|S|1.0|10.0]

Any help much apricated Cheers

So if you design in inches but use the mm pp will it convert the inches to mm with 1F pp

I don’t think so and I wouldn’t trust it to. I decided to learn mm and design and measure everything in mm. It wasn’t that hard and now am loving metric.

This may be a stupid question, but as for the inches pp and mm pp for post processing, when would i choose inches vs mm? Is it determined based on tools chosen to carve or design? In other words, I plan on using inches in dimensioning my designs. Do I use inches pp or can mm be used? The other part is say I design in inches, but in plan on using metric and imperial bits in a single project. ex. using a 1/4 upcut endmil to pocket and a 3mm tapered ballnose bit with .5mm tip to finish. Thanks in advance

You can plan in inches and have the software convert it to mm. I found the machine to work better in mm. So much so I converted myself to metric. Now I design in metric. It makes so much sense and is easier once you take the plunge.

Thank you, but still a bit unclear as to which pp tonchoose and when. Tool or design dependent?

It is design dependent. The post processor simply ensures the resulting gcode conforms to standards. The design software does the measurement translation. If you design a piece in inches, you will send it through the inches pp.

Quick question. Is the post processor on Vcarve the same for the machinest and the wookworker?

yes it is …

Slava The G, did you find a remedy to this issue? I’m having the same problem.
thanks!

save your toolpaths as seperate files.

So Mark, did you get to making that video? Please break it down for us noobs that are still in the dark.

Thanks!

Just to make sure I understand. Design in imperial, send to the ppinch post processor, with the 1F setup in metric? This is one of the many things I’m unsure of and my 1F is supposed to be delivered today. Thanks for your response.

I’ve been using Vectric for a few years now and elected to change my designs from imperial to metric. Making the change is relatively easy and I don’t have to stress over conversions during the design and build workflow.

Is it ok to design and run in mm but have bit geometry in imperial, since I already am invested in several bits?
