Washboard alignment holes

I’m trying to mill a sphere with a two-sided strategy of flipping the stock (ie milling top half of sphere then flip for bottom) but need some alignment holes drilled into my QCW (which I’ll also have the same holes in my stock). I’ll create a Fusion file with the holes to bore but want to confirm the workflow after seeing a similar approach on YT:

  1. Set the xyz probe on top of the wasteboard turned over with the recessed part (since there’s no edge of stock for it to sit on). Set for Z
  2. Create a toolpath for the holes in F360 with a -Z offset to bore into the wasteboard the depth of the probe + depth needed into wasteboard

Will this do the trick?
