X axis stopped moving

Help! My X axis all of the sudden turned up “lame” this morning.

I turned on the machine, and it was homing, but then did not stop, but did not stall at the origin.

After a reboot, the motor seems to whirl, but the axis does not move, and I can move the gantry along the X axis freely.

Any idea what this is or where to start?

I may have found the issue.

A lose set screw in the ball screw coupling. This video explains how to tighten:

That might also explain a bunch of gremlins I have been chasing (if this has been loose for a while).
