I am adding a Jtech laser to my Onefinity Woodworker Pro with Makita router so I thought it would be a good time to add an X drag chain to keep everything secure. I previously fitted a Y drag chain.
The Z axis cable is currently the coiled one and I need to replace it with a “flat” version so it will go in the chain. Talking to Onefinity, they say they are not available except in the full drag chain kit.
Would a Y axis “in tube” cable work as I assume it has the necessary crossed wires (or does it?). At least are the connectors correct so I can rewire it? What are the alternatives, a standard Z axis cable extension re wired?
As you can see I am confused and need help?
Regards
Tony
hi Tony do you have a 3d printer
I do, why? I used it to print the drag chain parts.
check out this site Drag Chain Cable Raceway for Onefinity CNC by muddyfeet - Thingiverse for stl files for a 40 x 15 drag chain

My question is related to the Z axis cable not the 3D print. I already have the drag chain printed, it’s the coiled z axis cable I am have the confusion with.
