Z Axis Homing Issue/ Limit Setting Issue (solved, adjust stall homing)

Hey Folks!

Recently when I’ve been homing my machine (Pro Series Foreman) upon start up, the Z-axis grinds/putters once it reaches its top limit during the homing sequence. Is this an issue with the load sensing to set the axis limit? Is this part of the normal homing sequence? Or would this be indicative of a larger issue with the Z-20 slider that I’m missing? Once the Z axis reaches the top of its limit, it will putter for 5-10 seconds (occasionally longer… until I hit the E-stop in fear) before recognizing its limit and backing off.

New to the CNC world and greatly appreciate your time, thoughts, & help!

Thank you!

Adjusting the stall homing did the trick first time!

I had to set my stall homing to .6. Is that normal?

Adjust stall homing is normal

i had mine down to .3 at one point earlier this year and was wondering what happened below .1. Though after having to change out the motors on the rails and resetting the controller I am now ok at .8 but most likely would be at the right spot on .7. So your .6 is nothing to worry about.
