Finally got my new Z Braking motor yesterday. Installed it today. The only question I have is when I power down, the z drops about a eight of an inch before the brake stops it. in the video from OneFinity, there was no drop at all.Am I doing something wrong?
This is normal. It’s just gravity vs the time it takes for the motor to engage. The Onefinity video showed a air cooled, if you are using a water cooled, you have a much heavier spindle therefore gravity’s affects are greater.
