Elite Z-20 Brake motor Install

I installed my upgraded z axis motor today and noticed a couple of things. The motor wire no longer fits under the clamp at the top of the Z gantry; due to the extra height of the new motor it’s not long enough. I also have a stiffy. Instead, I put the other side of the connector under that clamp. That’s okay.

The dip switch settings on the new motor are very different than on the original motor and the new motor moves very slowly. The old motor was on for all 6 switches. The new motor is on, on, off, on, off, off. I believe I could just flip switch 3 to on and it would be normal speed as the first 4 switches are the resolution settings. Here’s what Masso says for switches 5 and 6.

CAUTION: Switch 5 selects between leading and trail edge trigger, please set to the OFF position. Setting the activation edge of the input signal, “off” means the activation edge is the rising edge, while “on” is the falling edge.

INFORMATION: Use switch 6 or settings in the MASSO F1 screen to invert motor rotation direction.

I have a feeling I should just put them all on. I’m going to wait to hear from Onefinity support before running my machine.

Here’s a photo with the top being the original motor and the bottom the new motor. Has anyone else installed this yet and if so what do your switches look like? I emailed support, but figured I’d ask here as well.

Figured I give a heads up in case anyone else is working on their motors this weekend.

Hah, by the time I finished typing this support responded!

“yes, all the dip switches should be in the up/on position”

Thanks Onefinity support.
