1/8" collet for Makita; and bits

I’m looking to have the option of using 1/8" shank bits on a OF WW X-50 with a Makita router.

I found a Makita specific 1/8" collet at the “Bits & Bits” website. I also found collets offered by other vendors at half that price, but reviews tend to show run out issues.

I’ve got my eye on 1/8" shank bit sets by SpeTools that are about $1 to $2 per bit.

Anyone have any experience with any of this. Hopefully positive; but I need to hear the negative also.

I am just starting on the “learning curve” and thought that it would be less expensive to break a $1 bit while I gain some initial experience.

I also noticed that there may be some bit types more readily available in 1/8" shank size. But I don’t yet know if they will be useful or not until I get more into this; but, at this cost pointt, it seems worth exploring.

Thanks in advance.

I’ve been using this one Elaire Corporation from Elaire.
Works fine for me, and have seen it recommended by many others.
