I finally got my onefinity set up and installed the “Penny” 2.2kw spindle that I purchased from Ali Express.
Started to do a test carve and as soon as I started the spindle the 10.8 monitor went black. During the carve the monitor continued to alternate between mostly black with brief periods of normal screen. This did not
affect the carve. Contacted onefinity support to see if I possibly had a faulty monitor. After several
suggestion by the support staff which included starting the machine to carve without turning on the spindle and just running a router next to the machine (no effect on the monitor) they suggested the problem was electrical magnetic interference (emi) and suggested using a ferrite core. Fortunately I had one on a cord I wasn’t using so I took it off and wrapped the hdmi cord through it. problem solved. Hope this will help if someone else runs into the same problem.
