A axis homing error (rotary)

Hi guys.

I have the generation 1 Journeyman with a rotary A axis. Prior to Masso’s update 5.07 everything was working fine. After I updated to 5.07 I never checked the A axis operation, but did set the new steps per revolution on the motor configuration switches as per the update instructions.

Today I was checking out the rotary axis in preparation for a new job, and found when I include homing the A axis during initialization the machine shows a homing error. If I disable the A axis homing, the error goes away. I can jog the A axis just fine and I suspect it would carve correctly. I checked the connections and operation of the home sensor and verified to operate normally.

Did I miss something in the Masso 5.07 instructions? Has anyone else seen this perhaps under different circumstances?

I had this issue with redline and I adjusted the screw that is on the rotating chuck. Hope this helps.

I found the issue. When upgrading to ver. 5.07 the A axis lost its A axis homing sensor settings. So the homing sensor was no longer installed and the logic was set to High.

I re-enabled the A axis sensor and changed logic to Low (green), that solved the issue.
