I received my Rotary a couple months ago and just now have had the opportunity to fully complete the install. I have it oriented on the X access. I have followed the latest set of installation instructions on the Onefinity Support site. When I boot the machine, hit the e-stop and then Home, the machine will move to z, x and y zero position and this issue a homing error. I can clear the error and jog the machine on all axis. The A axis will rotate in both direction. I just can’t get a successful Home. I have checked the motor dip switches and the config for the drive pulse rate, which in the current docs is set to 1400.
Can someone suggest anything else that I should check?
Yes, I switched on the “A” axis in the F1 Homing setup screen. If deselect the A axis the homing function completes without an alarm trigger. When I select the A axis as show on page 28, this a homing alarm is triggered.
Everyone, thanks for the suggestions. Here is the fix I needed. Looking at input 17 for X axis homing, i noticed it was high. All the other axis on my masso are inverted. I had failed to invert the A axis. This has fixed it and I can now successfully home the machine without an alarm triggered.
Follow up, are there any other settings that everyone has found to work well. Are you still homing to X,Y of ZERO. The bit travels over the headstock to home. Welcome any other tips and suggestions that you’ve found beyond the documentation.
