There are a number of situations that can result in the controller firmware getting stuck or in a confused state. In these cases, the only option is to use the Shutdown menu option, then physically turn the controller off and then back on. It would be helpful to have a Reboot option in addition to Shutdown, which would simply re-load the OS without requiring a full power cycle.
