Air Assist Setup on Masso (Elite)

@OnefinityCNC

Hello. I have searched high and low for any instructions on how to configure Air Assist on the Onefinity Elite (MASSO) machines for use with the JTech lasers.

I have the recommended pump (recommended by Onefinity Support); but, I can not find any instructions about how to hook this up to the MASSO controller so that it can be controlled by Gcode (M8/M9) or by the Air Assist button on the program tab.

Could you clue me in?

Thanks

Jay

I’m working on an “air assist / mister cooling” setup for masso but don’t have all the parts yet. I’ll be using one of the TTL outputs to drive a relay (Buy MASSO relay module for controlling relays also check Masso relay module latest price, specification and reviews at Masso) to operate an air solenoid, an auxiliary 24VDC power supply may be necessary ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0815WY9HJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1) that supplies air to a valve block/nozzle, that won’t be needed for a laser setup (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071DXGGP4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). Masso has a page in their documents for laser cutting, setup, etc. read the whole page (Setup Laser for Engraving and Cutting).

I hope this gets you headed in the right direction
Eric
