I don’t know anything about the ATC other than what is mention on this forum, but it seems to me that there must be a max and min length of tool extended beyond the collet nut. Plus a Z clearance setting?

The maximum length below the collet is determined by the height of the ATC plus a few mm of clearance above the ATC and Z zero. I learned that the hard way😁 Mike
