My controller will not power up. Worked fine yesterday but today it won’t power up. I have tried pugging in different outlet and checked all connections in back of controller. I have looked on line and found the video on cleaning the switch, but my switch is a push button type. Can’t find a video that talks about that or other instructions of what to check/clean the controller. I don’t have any other step to check. Is there a fuse in box? I do have surge protector on machine. Does anyone have any ideas for cleaning the inside of controller? Can you take the push button apart? Any help would be appreciated.
Hey ksw,
you could try to see with a multimeter if the Meanwell power supply has its AC input power. If so, you could check if the power supply delivers 36 V DC power.
If it has, you could short J18 on the AVR mainboard, the controller should boot then. If so, the pushbutton is broken.
Check the panic button on the box.
The other day mine would not start either. Finally figured out I had hit the panic button accidentally moving stuff around the shop when the machine was off.
I had the same identical issue with the BB. OF support had me open the box and check for a ‘flashing’ green light on the controller power supply. If not flashing controller was shot and a $500 replacement would be required. I now own a new BB controller. However, the off/on rocker switch was replaced with a green button. Currently, when the green button is pushed, nothing happens. Must the box’s power be controlled at the source? How long should these controllers last - my original was 2021?
