Proper Shutdown on the Onefinity CNC BB controller (original and pro models)

If the screen does not shut down after powering down and flipping the power switch:
There are times when the controller will stay on after flipping the rocker switch to off or, in the case of the led push button switch, it won’t power off the controller. This is a rare phenomenon but does happen from time to time.
This is due to the screens independent power back feeding through the usb touch cable plugged into the back of the controller.
There are two solutions:

  1. unplug the touch usb cable
  2. purchase this add on that only allows the power to flow one way and enables you to shut down the controller and leave the touch cable plugged in:

*please note, this is a limitation of the raspberry pi computer we use inside the controller and not a software issue. There is nothing Onefinity can do to ‘fix’ the issue in software.

For Elite machines with a Masso controller, simply push the power button to turn it off. No software shutdown required.
