Cabinetry below 1F? - All Sizes

I have a Foreman and I’m looking to create a solution with cabinets below the machine for good storage and also to be able to move the machine for cleaning/access so it would be on casters with levelers built-in. I currently have the 1F aluminum legs and they are far too wobbly especially along the depth/Y axis. Has anyone made cabinets for below their machines or perhaps have other recommendations for something similar? Ideally I’d like to use the CNC to make the parts that I need, they would be modular and they’d be flexible to be easily adaptable to any size of machine.

Thanks!

Mike

Are you hoping to beef up the wobbly legs, or build a whole new table?

I was originally thinking to fix the legs, but I don’t see that as being a good long-term solution, I think it would be better to start from scratch and build something heavy and rigid, also the storage would be really nice to have. If it can come apart that’s good for moving if that ever comes into play.

I was also thinking to weld up a heavy steel frame and have rolling cabinets below, that could work also, but I like the solutions to work for anyone if possible.

I’m using a heavy duty version of this stuff. 2 sets with 2 solid core doors for a top. It’s cheap, sturdy (some brands more than others) modular, assembles in about 90 seconds, easy to break down if necessary, tons of shelving and storage options below. Some of the different versions sold at home centers are kinda cheezy and not much better than a Kreg table. But if you shop around, you can find some beefy ones. Best of all, you won’t spend a weekend building a giant table which may, or may not meet your needs in the future.

I stole the idea here.

I think that’s a great idea, I saw that post from a while back, but I wasn’t able to find any racking at a good price, I’ll have another look around, I like the idea of using steel because I could tack-weld some of the more critical parts together to be able to add casters and also still keep it in 2 sections to be able to be taken apart. I’ll see what I can find, great suggestion!
