The controller on my Onefinity Woodworker has quit working. The screen on the monitor says NO SIGNAL. The fan is not working. Here is what I have done in the order I have done them:
1 I tried a different plug.
2 I checked to make sure the emergency stop had not been activated and cycled it anyway. I checked the emergency stop with an OHM meter and it seems to be operating as it should.
3 Looked through the Forum to see if there were any articles about similar situations.
4 Watched the video about dust in the switch and proceeded to take the switch apart, there was no sawdust in the switch. Also I there were no lights on the circuit board and did not see any when I put my finger across the spade connectors on the switch. Never did see any lights.
5 I checked the voltage at the end of the cord where in plugs into the contoller. 123 volts.
6 I checked the on/off switch with an OHM meter and the switch is working as it should.
7 This controller does not have an inline fuse.
8 I stared at everything a lot. I tried plugging it in and unplugging it many times. I cycled the switch many times.
9 It was too late in the day to contact Onefinity Customer Service.
10 Decided to post this post in hopes someone has an idea I haven’t tried.
I have a similar yet completely opposite situation. I turned my machine on by pressing the button on the controller for the first time and everything worked perfectly including the monitor, but after playing with the onscreen controls which all worked perfectly. I was done for the day and pressed the button again and nothing happened. The light on the controller stayed on the monitor stayed on, I waited for a few seconds then turned off the monitor and tried pressing the button on the controller again …again nothing, I finally turned off the power strip and that shut it off. Is something wrong or did i not wait long enough what is the shutdown procedure?
In any case thanks to the forum and onefinity I used the flyout menu, pressed the off button in it, and viola the machine shut down and everything is working. On another note, i got my remote game controller last night and it too works perfectly. I am almost ready to do the drag chain thing but i might just carve something first.
