I’ve been trying to manage the amount of dust spray onto the rails and ball screws since the dust boot doesn’t go up/down with the Z axis. It’s super flimsy but it does seem to deflect a lot of chips (which then get stuck to the rails because of the oil).
It’s two pieces of spare paperboard taped to the gantry.
It has been many days of cutting and the little deflector is taking the hits like a champ. The rails and ball screw are so clean as a result. (There’s a pile of chips on the floor though.)
