Some users may have issues with an X axis motor alarm. There are many ways this could happen but this faq will address on way that we’ve seen multiple users have and it’s due to user error by not having the knowledge of how the homing sensors work.
The Elite series homing sensors work by a beam a red light and a protrusion going through that beam, ‘cutting’ it and that is how the machine knows it’s been triggered.
On the X axis, the top plate of the X gantry (that holds the router/x motor cable) has a metal protrusion sticking out of the left side. This is what breaks the laser beam of the homing sensor on the X axis. If you remove that plate or never install it, it will never break the beam, therefore causing a homing error.
Ensure you have the X axis plate installed before homing the machine.
