Yes, also very interested in Fusion dxf or svg format files!?
weāll get him to get those up for you!
Donāt think that would work, as the dovetail would still be wider at the top then it should, be, thinking about this youāre lopping off the top of a pyramid everything below is wider. I think the only thing you can do is go a bit deeper to begin with
I was working on my CNC with a version of this wasteboard that I created and I realised in has one small problem, you canāt clamp at the edge if need be, so Iāve had a thought of trying to create a version of it where some of the pockets for insertion are inset, and have channels going to the outside looking like this:
This way you could also insert clamps to the outside, Iām working out now how to get a toolpath machined that will do the correct thing here, it seems to require a poly line path maybe.
Great tweeks to a great design!
I was able to figure out the toolpaths for this design by the way, you need to draw a line which starts in the middle of the oval pocket that youāll drop the clamp into and then goes to the left to the edge of the board, then back through the pocket again to the far side of the board, and then back to the middle of the far pocket. Do this once for the horizontal and duplicate the pockets and line up the board, then do the same thing for the up and down duplicating that, and the simulations show it will work just fine. Iāve not yet cut the board to try it out as my spoilboard is still in great shape, but next time the board will be done this way.
