Thanksgiving is right around the corner - how are you going to serve the bird? Presentation is everything so Morgan whipped up this big ol’ tray for the occasion. It was originally designed as a quick 2D project, but to give this tray its 1" radius deep into the bottom corners, no bit was available.
Rather than compromise on the design, he toolpathed it as a 3D carve. When you don’t have a bit(s) for the task at hand, think outside the box! With just a bit of creative toolpathing, the Onefinity can handle just about anything you throw at it.
Love the tray, but having difficulty in getting the 3D file to convert to mm. I usually just get the profile cut and lose all the 3D carves. Tried several way to import, scale, etc… No luck. Any chance there be a mm version of the file?
I’ve had the same problem going from a metric scaled model to imperial using vcarve. Easiest way is to import it as imperial in this case and then change to metric after the model is set.
