Failure to go to 0,0,0 when starting up

I have an elite and new to this. I have a cnc metal machine and when i tell the metal cnc to go to 0,0,0 on start up it goes and uses the sensors to do that. My elite seems to reset 0 on x and y axis. i have checked the settings and sensors and settings. I have updated the firmware to the latest version still errors. WHen i set up a job and after it runs it wants to reset 0 to the job zero not 0,0,0. Ideas?

When a job completes it will go back to your work zero. Not sure I understand your problem?
Also did you home first?

Yes, the Masso will by default remember the work XYZ, even if you switch it off, which saves a lot of time and is of great advantage if you have a fixed position work origin (dogholes, fences…).

Not only will it remember the default work home in the G54 coordinate system, you also have G55-G59 if you have different fixtures installed on the spoilboard. I mainly use G54 as my standart ( there is a row of dog holes in x and y direction, and G59 for my rotary.

On the screen you will see both Work and Machine position displayed.

You can manually jog to the machine XY and set the work XY to zero, I just don’t see many cases where that would be advantageous.
