What apps do you use to convert pictures into SVGs?

First, install Inkscape, every maker should have it on their computer.
Next seriously look into Vcarve, you will choke at the price but you are going to need it.
Both of these do conversions, the one that will do better for a particular job varies depending on what you are doing.

I’ve used Inkscape for other things like 3D printing and vinyl cutting. Post processing into gcode after importing the vector in fusion360 if i recall, but it has been a while. Will be starting with fusion and carbidecreate. Looking at vcarve as my dad uses it.

I use Illustrator almost exclusively with pretty good results.
