Rapid feed rates are restricted, these would be indicated in the preview as the yellow lines in your preview. In the non hobby license these would translate to G0 commands but in the hobby version they are normal G1 commands at the same feed rate your toolpath uses. If you have a bore operation with a helix down and rapid out on the hobby version it will all happen at the same feed rate.
When you say you adjusted the up/down speed is that the plunge/lead in/lead out/ramp you adjusted? Also the controller will limit the acceleration of the axis based on max jerk values so small movements will appear slower as it accelerates and decelerates without actually reaching the specified feed rate.
