I just received my Gen 2 Elite Journeyman with the spindle and Redline system. I’ve watched the video on youtube for the machine setup but havent seen any resources on the spindle setup or operation other than a few people filming how to add the spindle onto old Masso machines. Can anyone point me in the right direction here? I had the Gen 1 CNC with the router, the Spindle is a daunting upgrade without proper direction.

No real need to be intimidated by the spindle. The biggest difference will be the VFD goes between the spindle and the controller.
Spindle=========VFD=========Controller========HMI/Computer (control software)
The VFD plugs into the controller box and then the spindle plugs into the VFD. VFD is fed off its own power source (either 220v or 120v depending on what you chose)and powers the spindle plus controls speed and direction of the spindle. Think about it like its a smart router that can be remote controlled.
Congrats on the upgrade! For the spindle + Redline system, check the official setup guides and wiring diagrams from Onefinity CNC’s support page and the Masso documentation for the Redline controller. Also search YouTube and the user group for “Elite Journeyman spindle setup.” A few owners have posted step-by-step walkthroughs specific to the Gen 2.
And as a heads up, the VFD must be powered on before the controller & HMI. And then the machine must be homed before the aux display (usually attached to the HMI when installing) can be cleared (Reset button) of its Err 14 message and allow the machine to run files.
Hopefully something that will be addressed in a firmware update.
