I’m looking for help and adjusting the Y2 axis as it seems my Y1 and Y2 are not perfectly inline.
i would estimate the Y2 is about 1mm off (further to the rear of the machine) than the Y1 is.
I’m thinking I need to remove the motors on both Y1/Y2 so the leadscrew can turn freely.
loosen the X on both sides. then manually turn the leadscrew until both axis show home in the DIAG screen.
Once homed tighten things back down, re-stall the motors and then try a homing sequence.
Is this an initial installation, or have you been running the machine and only now having one Y axis not home? The gantry can be pulled tight to the front on both sides/ball screws rotated when the motors are not under power without the need to remove anything. The software should allow for the auto-squaring of the Y axes at that point. Also, make sure the linear bearing oil cover is not interfering with the Y2 axis sensor trigger reaching the full/required depth of the sensor.
Initial Installation. first power up and homing of the axis.
i did try when not powered to pull the Y2 axis forward and it would not move.
I didn’t think the Gen2 had the auto-squaring feature
Are basing the 1 mm discrepancy between the Ys on an estimate of where the trigger ends up in the sensor, or on another measure? If the motors are powered off and you can’t get the Ys even then check for an obstruction - such as a shifted bearing cover, etc…
