How different is the 1F controller from the BuildBotics controller?

Hi,
How far has the Onefinity controller deviated from the open source BuildBotics controller/project?
The physical controllers are slightly different (1F has Estop, BB has LCD screen, for example).

What other changes are there between a BB controller and the 1F controller?

Thanks in advance

Have you gotten any answers?
I was wondering the same thing.
Thanks

1F is a fork of BuildBotics.
It used to be more similar, but with each new 1F firmware version the diversion is greater and greater.

There are others who know a lot more about this than I do, but I’ve looked a little at the differences.
Onefinity: More plug and play, e.g., their supported touch probe and JTech lasers which don’t require the breakout board. Also, generally give great support based on their controller to those who have their machine.

Buildbotics:

  • In general seem to continue developing more than OF, which makes sense because it’s their business.

  • Allows an additional breakout to control drivers for motors, including closed loop steppers and servos.

  • The “Great New Features” in orange are for sure things not included in OF controller

  • I think somewhere I saw Buildbotics offers macro buttons

Buildbotics is tempting, but now for someone who would like more capabilities with their controller, the package with Masso is probably a much greater value.
