Issues with .nc file transfer from vcarve pro to masso

I build a vecter in vcarve pro and save the g code onto thumb drive and load into masso. Unfortunately it doesnt seem to be correct. Looks like chinese symbols not alpha numeric. What am i doing wrong?

Have tried opening in the g code in a text editor and do you see a long string of x, y and z references with numbers. If not then you have not created a g code file. In which case, and it does happen, are you trying to load the vcarve file after changing the file type from crv to nc?

Hey Rich,

in your CAM software, you got to use the → post processor for the Onefinity CNC machine to export the g-code toolpath. This is the way you create a g-code file that can be used by the Onefinity CNC machine.

Ichose the masso inch post processor . Is there a different processor i should use?

Andy, i opened in text editor and seems fine. Not sure if im using the correct post proccessor. Currently set as onefinity Masso inch with machine set as onefinity elite journeymen.

I use the mm post processor but should make no odds. You could posting your issue in the Masso forum and see what they suggest.

I will try the masso forum next. Havent been able to do my first cut.

That’s pretty miserable. Can vreate the NC file for a simple pocket and share the file. We can have a look at it and it might throw up a few ideas. We need to get you cutting

Here is a pocket file. machine was Elite Journeyman and the post processor was onefinity masso inch
Pocket_1-Pocket 2.nc (4.3 KB)

Well this is spooky.

I looked at your file; looks sound. I created a similar file and compared the two (within reason) - looks sound. I run in metric so I changed your G20 to G21 and loaded on my Masso - no problems. I do not know what your issue is. Bigger brains are required. I have attached images. (Ignore the tool, that’s what I have loaded)

Thank you for your attemps to help me. Im now working through masso support and have the same results. My guess is that my masso itself has an issue.

You’re welcome. That’s what the forum is for. I’ve received a lot of help, so I’m just repaying a bit as much as I’m able.

By any chance is your USB drive not formated correctly? Should be 32GB or less, formated with FAT32 using MBR…just a thought

Yes the thumb drive is formatted for 32 GB and Fat 32. BTW sample files were sent off the usb drive and they worked at you site with no issues.

By chance did you update Vcarve to the latest patch (12.010)? I was doing fine until I updated Vcarve last week and now my Masso doesn’t recognize any of the new files. Masso recognizes older files, just not the new ones saved under the new Vcarve patch.
