Trying to make my first cut. Can't load correct file to Masso

Hi folks,

After a few issues, my Foreman Elite is ready to go. It’s all set up and I’ve watched some good getting started videos on Youtube and feel pretty confident. I created a file to cut with Carveco Maker and it appears ready to go. Carcvexco saves the file as .art. I transfer the file to the thumb drive and insert it into the Masso. When I try to load the file, it says No Gcode files on the drive. I can’t figure out how to save the file to cut it.

Thanks!

.art file is the DESIGN file, which no cnc can understand.

You have to create gcode and EXPORT it in Carveco. Gcode is the language the CNC can understand. It will end in .nc or .gcode, or .ngc.

You also need to choose the correct post processor.
For the Elite, it will be Onefinity - Elite (either mm or inch depending on your preference)
For the Original/PRO, it will be Onefinity BB (either mm or inch depending on your preference)

Here’s Carvcos link:

Thanks!

I figured it out a few minutes after posting this. You just save your project file, then save the tool path and name it. When you save it, you can save it as a Gcode file. I tried that first, but didn’t notice the choice of file type. I assumed it would default to Gcode but it doesn’t.

At least I’m learning!
