J Tech 24 watt not firing. I set it up and ran a file with no problem. Then came back next day and it wont fire. The file starts and runs but the laser isnt firing. I can manually flip the switch on the laser control board and it fires so I know its working so it must be a setting but I went through the setup and settings all seem the same. When I go in manual mode and type in M3 S** it still wont fire even if I go S500.
Maybe my lightburn file isn’t calling for the correct code to fire on start up? Here’s the first few lines…
; LightBurn Core 2.0.03
; GRBL-M3 (1.1e or earlier) device profile, current position
; Bounds: X-72.5 Y-72.5 to X72.5 Y72.5
Solved it but I can’t tell you how or why. I reinstalled lightburn and reloaded the Onefinity settings in the device list and then exported the GCode again and it worked. Maybe this will help someone in the future.
One thing I’ve found with my Masso, is that the tool change M commands need to include the 0 for tool changes (i.e. M06 vs M6) for it to work correctly.
I also had issues with my 44W where it would do similar things, ended up with new electronics (control board and daughter board in the laser itself) from JTech that resolved the issue.
So I just tried again and it isn’t working. I used that M06 code and still not working. J Tech customer service is super good so hopefully we can figure it out. They helped me trouble shoot a bit but it seems to be the Masso controller. I got it to work for one cut then turned it off to confirm and then it didn’t work again. Did Onefinity replace your Masso?
