I received my Elite Journeyman with a QCW. I had previously cut the 8 3/4" panels for the QCW out of MDF. When I put the QCW together I found the outside panels to be larger, 10 1/8" which would require me to cut new panels wasting 2 of the 8 3/4 panels. I found that the QCW Frame Tubes 1F sent me are actually intended for a Foreman. Does anyone know if this is now the standard QCW for the Journeyman?
This is a now standard change to match the foreman layout which gives the t track in a better place on the outsides to use the loops clips.
Onefinity Support came through for me! They even called me explaining the change. The change makes since to. Thanks Onefinity!!
@OnefinityCNC Is there a way to get back to the old T tracks on my QCW? I am using it with a Pwn ATC and the tool holders no longer fit, eek!
No, this is the new standard that’s shipping.
Ok thanks, totally understand.
I’ve started a new thread on the subject that isn’t marked as “solved” at QCW Rail Swap Thread.
That’s great, but has the documentation been updated to reflect the change? It hasn’t been when I received my QCW in August.
Yes, check out the docs.
Good to know about the QCW change. I agree, having the latest instructions is important, especially for people who don’t know about the updates. I’ll check the new docs before I change anything in my setup.
