New to the forum, and new to CNC. Still just window shopping but I’m almost positive I’ll end up ordering the Onefinity. Just wanted to throw out there that the Logitech F710 gamepad that Ben Meyers mentions earlier in the thread is currently on sale on Logitech’s website for $29.99 with free standard shipping for orders over $29.

You can move the Z. The third party controllers like this have multiple progam modes/button layouts. I can’t remember off the top of my head but I pretty sure it’s one of the buttons in the center of the joypad. You’ll have to look a the instructions for the joystick to see how to cycle through the modes. The Z will be controlled via the left thumb stick.

It came with no instructions…I’ll do a search in google…even the box has no name…its called a A-038 thats it…Ill look for instructions online…Can you please try and find out. Thanks - Rich

Where did you get instructions for this?? I ordered it from the link you provided…I cant find any and ive searched on google

Press the “Home” button for 7 seconds to change modes.

I miss spoke above. The Z will be controlled via the right stick. XY will be the left stick and you can change the motion speed with the X,Y,A,B buttons.

Just cycle through the modes until you find the one that works. Again, for this controller it’s the “home” button press and hold for 7 seconds.

how do you move through the selections? THe screen is blank…I see nothing on it. I saw a quick bleep of like 4-5 when it started up then it went away…I was able to move x,y fine…I even tried the press and hold for 7 seconds…then what start hitting arrow keys then hit select? Its really low tek…My laptop wouldnt even recognize the USB adapter…said “unknown” $18 was the only reason i got it but you get whhat you pay for. Ill try again one more time and try the press and hold again…then ill hit arrow keys right or left and hit “select” I guess…I see no directions anywhere for this unit…I spent an hr searching the internet and found nothing…lol Doesnt even have a company name…lol

My OF just arrived yesterday, I ordered the joystick with it. Getting things setup, and for the life of me I can’t get it to pair. When I first hit the home button, the LEDs flash for several seconds then stop. After that, hitting the home button causes the LEDs to momentarily flash once, but nothing else. Waiting for several minutes and coming back seems to reset it to it’s initial state, but it never pairs.

Any one else experience this? Am i missing something obvious?

As mentioned above you must change modes on the joystick. Press and hold the home button for a few seconds to change modes until you get the top two lights.

I WAS missing something obvious. The three pairs of batteries I tried were all apparently garbage. At least now I’m stocked up on AAs and I know what low battery looks like on the controller.

Hi, Ive seen you using the same controller I have to jog the Onefinity. I can’t get to move the Z axis. I was wondering if there is something Im missing. Unfortunately I threw away the instructions as I was using it for my Shapeoko for over 6 months and it was working just fine. Trying to change the modes by holding the home button but nothing really happens! Any advice will be highly appreciated
Thanks!

I just ordered this controller from the ESM site under the Fathers Day tab for $12.99. It let me check out so I will know soon if they will ship it out. It says for UK but it let me checkout. Here’s the link. ESM-9013 Wireless Gaming Controller | Black And Blue | EasySMX

Thanks very much for the link, Charles … was just looking at purchasing one on Ebay (Xbox360 version). BTW: I’m in Australia and had no problems with checkout & also free postage … can’t beat that!

Cheers

Well it was too good to be true. I already received an email that my order was refunded.

Same here … I guess you could challenge it as it was still advertised at that price they should honour your order? I ended up buying the same from amazon.com.au but a little more expensive.

I don’t imagine they would honor it as they have already removed the link from the website and refunded me. I ended up ordering this one on Amazon. It will arrive quicker anyway.

has anyone figured out how to set the default mode for their controller to work with the Onefinity? I’m getting tired of holding the home button multiple times for 10 seconds to get it where it needs to be.
