Laser issue with new computer

Hey ya’ll, I’m having some troubles setting up Lightburn on a new computer. I have a Woodworker X-50 with the 7w JTEC laser. Using my old laptop to create the Gcode in Lightburn, everything works just fine and I can use the laser no problems. Using my new laptop with a freshly installed, licensed copy of Lightburn…no bueno. I added the Onefinity as a device in the new Lightburn and verified that all settings match the old device settings. I am using GRBL-M3(1.1 0r earlier) but I’ve also tried the other options with no change.

The problem…I save the Gcode, send it to the machine, and run the file. The laser moves and the laser goes on and off but doesn’t burn. Running the same file (old computer vs new computer), the two files are visually running/sounding different. The preview window LOOKS different (I’ll add pics). The Gcode itself is completely different (see below).

I’m at a loss for what I’m doing wrong. I know it’s a Gcode/GRBL processor issue but I don’t know what to do to fix it. I’ve tried updating the firmware on the Onefinity (now on latest). I was originally on the same version of Lightburn but I’ve updated to the latest version now with no luck getting it to work. I’m hoping it’s a setting I’m overlooking and maybe someone here can give me some advice. Thanks in advance.

If you run both files do they come out the same?

I don’t know the software but visually it looks like there’s 2 layers
Maybe the new version isn’t recognizing the second layer?

No, the file from the old laptop burns just fine. The file made with the new laptop runs and acts like the laser should be burning (laser turns on and off as it’s moving) but it doesn’t actually cut the file.

The Gcode looks significantly different on the new file but I’m not smart on Gcode. I mostly noticed that the new Gcode is missing all the M5 and M3 commands. It still has the S commands and they look correct. The file was created to burn at 80% power and the S command is S800, which is correct.

I found my answer after much searching. The speed settings in the new Lightburn install defaulted to In/Sec. I changed them to In/Min and the laser cuts as it should. I didn’t catch the difference when I compared to my old settings because the layout is different in Lightburn now. The preview still shows up weird so maybe that’s something else I need to sort out.
