During carves, mostly with a 5/8 bowl bit, the controller has been abruptly stopping the carve, and all position data goes grey to “unhomed”. Has anyone had an issue like this? It usually doesn’t come along with an error code, but last time it did. “invalid command” and a warning : utf-8 codec can;t decode byte yada yada yada… This has happened with a number of different feeds/speeds… from 50-100ipm only taking 0.125 depth of cut.

This sounds like an EMI issue to me. Vac running? Tried separating the power cord to the router/spindle from the axis control wires?
