Well, that wasn’t any fun. I’m going to go upstairs and try it. In the meantime, I am going order another stepper moter assuming the in no way that worked. Are we sure the stepper page you showed is the correct. It’s saying Class H the one I have is a C1.
Was it a pain to get access, work in a tiny spot (lighting and limited movement) or difficult to route wires? I hope you get it working, FWIW. 
Edit: I looked at the stepper on OneFinity x50 x-rail stepper and pulled the part number. I found this result: omc-stepper

Getting access to it was difficult and I it didn’t have a lot of wire to work with. The soldering well… Not so great but its tight.
I was worried about that. The link in my post above seems to be the same base model with H designating High Temp I didn’t find anything showing ‘-C1’ like your image. But it’s definitely the same manufacturer.
