I’ve modified the dust separator bucket with some copper tape. I’m not declaring victory, but it has seemed better.

Static electricity issues

Last week I added some copper tape to my dust collector separator bucket and a bolt that I clip an ESD strap to. (The ESD strap plugs into the grounding plug on my power strip.) This setup seems to have reduced the static buildup a lot. (I had been getting electric shocks when I touched the bucket and the wood chips were standing on edge inside the bucket.)
