I use Carveco maker + and having an issue with my machine, not recognizing my tool path as G code and it gives me an error message. I’m using a USB drive because I currently do not have Wi-Fi in my shop. Do I need to get a new USB? Or am I downloading it to my USB incorrectly? I have always done it this way and this is the first time I’m having trouble.
So it’s not the USB. I just did a firmware update using the same USB and it turn 2 of my tool paths into G code. But the rest of them it will not.
Hi, to test if you have a pure text file (which it must be to run). Can you read it with Windows Notepad? If so, there should be no funny characters in the file.
If you can’t read the file in Notepad, then there is something funny going on with the Carvco output.
I get that from time to time and I just re-copy the files onto my USB drive and then it works. Don’t know why.
Is this the message you see?
I get this message sometimes too. When it appears, I click OK on the message and continue on as if nothing happened and it carves my file just fine.
I hope they squash this bug soon.
Mike
