Makita Collect 3/8

A few months ago, I was searching for a way to remove more material when carving with my Makita router on my Onefinity. Using a ¼ inch bit limited the amount of material I could remove, so I decided to try a ⅜ inch Makita router collect and a ⅜ inch compression bit. This allowed me to carve out significantly more material than before. However, it’s important to note that this method may not be safe for all applications, and should be used at your own risk. I’m sharing this information in case others are looking for a similar solution.

Although the ⅜ inch setup was effective, I’ve since moved on to using a Bits & Bits 425-DNC375 3/8″ Spiral Down Cut CNC Router Bit with a ¼″ Shank. This bit offers a balance of safety and material removal, and is well-suited for a wider range of projects.

I will leave the links I used for both the ⅜ collect and my current bit from Bits & Bits
