Material thickness setting in Carveco

Village idiot here, trying to learn Carveco, just spent 30 mins trying to set the material thickness (z axis) and am requesting assistance. Where and when do you set up the material thickness Please.

When you create a toolpath at the bottom of the toolpath menu click define material. on the popup enter your material thickness and choose top or bottom depending on where you want your zero Z.
