Max Z is greater than my Z home and safe Z?

I am using Carveco maker. A problem that i just had today that I havent had (or at least noticed) before is that my G Code sometimes has the Z axis going about 0.5" greater than my safe Z as well as my home Z. I guess this normally wouldn’t be a problem but i am working with a fairly thick piece so my Z travel from 0 to the limit is quite, well… limited.

Any ideas what’s going on? Is this a common thing i just havent noticed before? Could it have to do with the ramping moves?

can you provide a screenshot showing the exact error.

Providing the g-code could also help with diagnosis.

And information about how exactly you probe workpiece zero or manually set workpiece zero.
