I must be missing something…
I am running a Masso G3 with Carveco software. I am running a simple v-carve file with a couple of tool changes. Everything seems to set up as it should but when I try to cut the wood my bit runs the program at “safe zero” height…
Any ideas?
Thanks
Jeff
I’m not sure how CarveCo works, but in Vectric software this can mean that you are referencing from the machine bed in your setup, but probing your Z axis from the work surface. This will cause the symptom you’re describing.

Checked that, I am referencing my material surface. This is a v-carve file issue, it’s only the roughing tool that is cutting air, hanging at my safe Z dimension. The V-bit carves as it’s supposed to.
