My Z act likes it is running in Dry Run

installed a tool setter. My Z is acting like it is running in dry mode. anybody have any ideas?

Russell,
If you go to the F1 page and scroll down to tool setter, is it in red (High) or is it in green (Low) status? It must be in green / low, and can be changed by tapping the line and pressing the space bar.
I assume the bit is hovering over the tool setter, as that is a different matter.

It actually does what it is suppose to do with the tool setter. When I start the project. It goes to the zero point then goes to start the project. it lower slightly. but hovers over the project as the x,y works. I just read that enable laser may be checked in the multihead folder on the masso. I changed that but it still does the same.

Russell,
Did you assign a tool number for the cut file? Tool number zero is dry run mode, if you didn’t know. Many folks think they don’t have to set up tools on the F4 page if using manual tool changes, but that isn’t correct. Your machine should have at least 3 or 4 tools set from the testing at the factory. You need to set both your CAD/CAM tools and the Masso F4 should agree or you will have problems.

Just realize, if your V-carve or F360 or Carveco are not set correctly, they might assign tool zero to your file on the Masso.
