I get a no fit error message when creating an vcarve inlay. I am using Vcarve Pro 12.5 if that helps.
I have recreated the file from scratch several times and I have moved the start point from the center to the lower left corner and back. It won’t fix it. I read the postings about getting the error with the Z axis but it was not helpful. This is with the Y axis. Specifically it states when clicked on:
“Warning: The current tool path dimensions (960.62 mm) exceed axis dimensions (816 mm) by 144.62 mm.”
I am working on a Journeyman and my workpiece is 22 inch by 18 inches. The cutting area is a third of that.
What is up? I upgraded to the most recent os 1.6.4 hoping that it would help correct the issue but instead I got a new error message (see other posting) and kept the No Fit on Y message.
this is 100% a tool packing issue. It’s not a machine issue. It’s telling you your tool path wants to cut outside of cutting area. You need to adjust it in your CAD file
I noticed the warning message you are receiving is in metric but you’re describing your workpiece in inches.
Is there a mismatch somewhere along the way? Are your Vcarve Pro projects designed in inches? Are you using the Vcarve post processor that’s designed to create Gcode in inches?
