Hi,
I have a mix up somewhere between the Onefinity machine settings and the Fusion Post Processor.
When I have the tool setter enabled and run a multi tool job it does not allow me to zero, or go to the tool setter to zero on a tool change.
I load the program, set X,Y and Z on the stock using the touch probe, go to work origin and cycle start.
It prompts to insert the tool, which is correct in the tool library for both Fusion and Masso, but doesn’t allow me to either zero it or when I press cycle start it wont go to the tool setter and instead just plunges into the job.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Im sure its something stupid i am doing or not doing but im losing what little hair i have left!
I’m not quite understanding your write up above but:
- if the tool number currently showing as active on the Masso front screen differs from that in F360 it will trigger a request to change the tool and will then re-measure the tool with the tool setter. Otherwise (e.g. tool numbers are the same) the job will just run
- if the tool number showing on Masso screen is the same as the that in F360 but you want to change the tool then MDI “M6 T99” (or some other random but different tool number), change tool when prompted, then tool setter will re-measure.
- DO NOT change a tool after initial homing without going through either MDI or F360 triggered tool changes.
- zeroing/probing whenever you want but you can not mid programme run, why would you, unless you need to reset z zero in which case you have to split into separate gcode files.
