Onefinity is excited to announce the EAZY-Z Tool Setter

Do you have an actual ‘trigger height’ dimension for this? Or is that what the 1.430 dimension is?

Do you have any repeatability data for this new component?

Where there’s a will there’s a way!

What is the accuracy? .01”? .001”?

Onefinity says 0.001" or better.

Anyone recieved these yet? Anxious for mine. Ordered as soon as i could on release day but realize the christmas rush of things it may be awhile.
Just curious of impressions and installations on non QCW frames.

Ordered mine n release day about 5 minutes after they opened. Received my 44 watt laser yesterday, but nothing else yet. Did get a notification this morning that something else has shipped. don’t know what it is yet.

I reached out to Becky and she said they were waiting on a few components that were expected to arrive early Jan. So I am personally expecting a ship notice Mid-Jan with a delivery to south central Texas about 5 business days thereafter. (This has been my experience for the last several orders).

I ordered the setter and brake.

I have plenty to keep me busy over the next week with the Elite upgrade, still keeping my y rails flipped and wiring the spindle up to the new controller. Plus it gives me a bit of time to run through the new workflow/process and get used to the Masso controller…

Also have a pendant on the way but don’t expect that until end of Jan either…

That sent an email saying the factory was closed 12/21-1/something, so I guess they not shipping anything until January.

Just got mine today and installed… followed the video however running into an issue of the “Z” not activating once I hit home. The bit goes exactly where it needs to be but does not lower to set Z high. I’ve double checked the settings as per the video, power cycled, unplugged and re-plugged. They’re closed now so I’ll call them tomorrow.

@Delo Please go to the f1 settings, in the center column scroll down until you see tool setter. tap that line once, then push space bar to change it from red to green. restart, and try again.

That worked…thank you so much. Please add that to your video as I’m sure I didn’t miss it. If I did happen to miss it I’d put more emphasis on it.

Cheers

Are you working on a similar tool setter for the Buidbotics controller? I am feeling so left out in the cold  and really can’t afford or justify the upgrade to the Masso. Do you have anything new at all for us old original customers?

Whats the repeatability of the toolsetter?

I have been using mine for awhile now and while I have not measured anything it appears to be very close, I was concerned as the plunger part of the unit seems a little loose unlike the Import one I had before and it was dead on, I went with the 1F due to the short height.
So far for me no issues.

I took the time today to test the accuracy and after about a dozen tool changes check by dial indicator I have to agree with 1F, it is less than .001, only one thing, the light on mine when tool setter hits the switch has quit working, I don’t care but seems it should last a lifetime.

What is the unit of measure used in your tests?

I used a one inch dial indicator with .001 graduations I have tenth indicators but that would be overkill for my purposes

Ok, so dumb question, but does this mean that once I install this, the machine will run a gcode file with multiple tools (created in Carveco Maker), prompt me to change the tool when it gets to a tool path with a different tool, and then once I change the tool and hit start, it will automatically go to this tool setter, set the z for the new bit, and then continue the project? I’ve seen that the 1F Elite Masso controller didn’t come with a gcode routine to do that, but that people had posted their own. Will I still need that routine, or does installing this item take care of that? Thanks as always.
